servers have the capability to run CGI scripts. Perl is a our
language of choice as it is a world standard and is well suited
to CGI. In addition, Perl code does not require manual compilations.
If you
have a custom CGI script that you need to use, simply upload
it to the "cgibin" associated with the Domain.
Here
are some helpful tips to follow when installing Perl scripts:
- Utilize
any directory within cgi-bin for you own scripts.
- Upload
in ASCII transfer mode (and NOT BINARY mode)
- The
first line of each script must read: #!/usr/bin/perl
- Use
.cgi or .pl extensions for all scripts
- Make
sure to change mode to 755 (using chmod command of your
ftp program)

require assistance in troubleshooting or implementing your
cgi script/s, please complete a Support
